There are 7 ICC Champions Trophy Tournament held so far. Out seven ICC Champions Trophy tournament New Zealand Cricket entered one final and they won that match too against a mighty team India that tournament was held in 2000. In 1998, they'd entered quarter-final stage, in 2002 and 2004 they had been eliminated in the first round itself. In 2006 they had entered the semi-final stage but in 2009 finally they manage to enter final but they had ended up with Runners-up. In 2013 one of the toughest tournament in ICC Champions Trophy history because England and India giving up their best performance in this tournament and finally India won that final against England and won that ICC Champions Trophy which was held in England. In this tournament New Zealand eliminated in first round itself.

 

So from the above statistics you see the performance of New Zealand Cricket Team is not that much bad compare to other teams in that tournament.
