New Zealand at Cricket World Cup

In 1975 at the inaugural world cup New Zealand team entered the semi-finals and they also entered semi-finals in 1979 but they were unable to win the world cup. In 1983 this was the toughest world cup for them. Because that time England, India, Pakistan, West Indies, Australia Cricket team are at the pick of their performance. But that world cup was won by India beating West Indies in the finals. In 1987 also they'd eliminated in the first round itself. In 1992 they'd once-again entered the semi-finals lost to Pakistan. In-fact they won all their league matches but only one lost they faced in that entire tournament that was against Pakistan in that crucial semi-finals. In 1996 they'd entered quarter-finals. In 1999 they'd entered semi-finals for the 4th time. In 2003 they got only 5th place. But in 2007 and also in 2011 once again they showed their dominance by entering into the semi-finals of that particular world cups. But they not able to won the wold cup for the first time. So this is the story of New Zealand cricket team. Hope they'll show some superb performance in the upcoming world cup to be held in Australia in 2015.
