England's first ICC World Cup match played was on Jun 7, 1975 against
India at Lord's, London. In that match England beat India by 202 runs.This was the famous victory. England performance in all World Cups was awesome. England never won the ICC Cricket World Cup tournament, though they have been runners-up three times: 1979, 1987 and 1992.

England in 1975 they had enter the Semi-final stage. In 1979 they're the runners-up. In 1983 they'd enter the Semi-final once again but lost to India in that Semi-final badly. Once again in 1987 they're the runners-up. In 1992 they'd enter the finals and but lost to Pakistan finally ended with runners-up. In 1996, they knocked out of the ICC Cricket World Cup tournament in the Quarter-final stage itself. In 1999 and in 2003 both knocked out at the Group stage itself. After that in 2007 Super 8 stage and in 2011 Quarter Final stage. So when comes to overall performance of England Cricket team in all the World Cups is not that bad. England always fighting team. They never give up easily to their opposition. But luck not favors them so far. But hope 2015 will bring some joy to them.
